I live in Finland = I'm a Finn

My name is Risto, and my journey towards YouTube started in 2022 when I received my first outdoor stove as a gift. After that, I started hiking and camping excessively, and in late 2024 I decided to film my first video.

Along the ride, I have shared many memorable adventures, but also my personal life. I have fought with chronic pain this whole time, but being outdoors relieves some of that pain.

My goal is to share the beautiful nature of Finland to the world and encourage others to go outdoors!

Long project: DIY Camper Van

I will convert our brand new Opel Movano into our dream camper van in the beginning of summer 2026. I will most likely make 2-3 episodes of the build but the goal is to go travel Europe with our brand new van in autumn 2026!

Long project: Off-grid cabin build

I will build an off-grid cabin in the wilderness of Finland. This will be the longest project ever on my channel (and overall what I've ever built).

I will document the project on my channel and publish videos from all the parts of the build. But don't worry, I'll continue making camping/bushcraft/survival videos as well. So my channel won't form into just "off-grid cabin" stuff.

I've sketched the first drawings and will finalize plans soon. I have already selected the location and will soon go to mark the trees that I'll fell in the beginning of 2026.

An estimated schedule:

11-12/2025: Planning the cabin, selecting the precise location, marking trees that need to be cut down

1-4/2026: Cutting down trees and debarking them to make logs. Piling the logs so that they can dry

6-9/2026: Building an outhouse and the base for the cabin

9-10/2026: Building the frame of the cabin from the logs

10/2026 - 9/2027: The logs will dry slowly. This is a very long process as the logs need to dry almost completely.

9-11/2027: Building the roof and floor

2028: Installing windows, doors, kitchen, stove, off-grid electricity etc. Crafting furniture, storages etc. Building a deck.

2029: Building a Sauna & an outdoor fireplace "laavu"
